Well, I made a blog.

So I guess this is the post with all the basic stuff: Who I am, what I do for a job, what I do for hobbies, yada yada.

My name is Dave. I'm 29 30 and feel old even though some may disagree. For work, I do full-stack development, primarily in Python and Elm (fun fact: this blog was written entirely with Elm! -- edit: not anymore! Now has Haskell on the backend! --edit again: Now the backend is Gleam!). As for hobbies, I enjoy video games, (more) programming, and music production. I also take interest in D&D, computer nerd-ery, FOSS (for those unfamiliar: Free, Open-Source Software), and I've recently become engaged in increasing my own internet privacy and supporting companies whose ideals promote it. Outside of all of that, I stream to Twitch and Youtube, depending on which platform(s) I dislike the least at that particular point in time.

(Also, on the topic of internet privacy: Don't worry, this blog neither reads nor writes cookies. I don't care where you came from or where you go afterwards.)

If you want to find me around the internet, use that share-looking icon in the top left (use the Links tab from the menu). It goes to dneaves.github.io, which I have as a link-tree kind of thing (fun fact: also written in Elm!). I do plan to have links to individual posts and search for ones in the future. I also have a bright/dark toggle on the top right bottom left (depends on whether mobile or desktop), if you want that.
